Lok Sabha Elections Results
Congress Party came as biggest party in 2009 and Manmohan Singh In 2009 the fifteenth general elections of India were held. This time the Congress party and allies were in power. However, the Left parties and some of its allies withdrew support from the Congress government led by Manmohan Singh. There were many surprises this year and some disappointments as well. Around 714 million people exercised their vote, which led to around 58% turnout in the whole country.
